AGC Pride Award:

Fred Shearer and Sons demonstrates how we value safety by striving to meet the highest standards.  During the last eight years Fred Shearer and Sons has won the Associated General Contractor's (AGC) Pride Award and in 2018 we received first place in the national competitions for the Construction Safety Excellence Awards (CSEA) for companies of our size. These awards require strict adherence to safety standards that are rigorous and measurable, and show our commitment to safety.

AGC Rose Award:

The purpose of the Oregon-Columbia Chapter’s ROSE (Recognition of Safety Excellence) Award is to recognize chapter leaders who demonstrate safety excellence.

The award process provides:

  • Great tool to conduct a safety program self-evaluation.

  • Excellent way to document safety achievements.

  • Share company safety and health accomplishments with team members.

  • Receive well-deserved peer recognition.

The ROSE award is a stand-alone award, and is the initial step to participating in the AGC of America’s Construction Safety Excellence Awards (CSEA) competition. The process typically begins each year in October, and ROSE Awards are presented at the chapter’s annual business meeting each January.

Oregon SHARP:

This program recognizes small business employers who have used OSHA's On-Site Consultation Program services and operate exemplary safety and health programs. Acceptance into SHARP from OSHA is an achievement of status that singles out companies among business peers as a model for worksite safety and health.
