Fall Protection
All workers exposed to falls of 6 feet or more must use 100% fall protection. Any exceptions require approval from the Safety Director.
Planning

Work must be planned to eliminate fall hazards when possible

If not, proper fall protection systems must be used

May include:

Guardrails, scaffolds, aerial lifts

Safety lines, nets, covers

Lanyards and full-body harnesses

Ladders (last resort)

Protection from falling objects
Requirements

Inspect equipment before each use and according to manufacturer guidelines

Complete a job-specific fall protection plan with your foreman before use
Responsibility

If uncomfortable working at heights, notify your supervisor

Fall protection is mandatory—violations may result in discipline
