WORK HOURS

State and federal laws require employers to maintain a record of the hours their employees worked. To ensure the accuracy of such records, YOU must keep a record of your time indicating the hours worked, including overtime or double-time, and any non-worked time, i.e., PTO, ill time, personal time, etc. Work hours are set by the applicable Union Contract except for front office and management employees.

Your supervisor is responsible for keeping your time and completing your time card. It is your responsibility to make sure the hours that you are paid for are complete and accurate. If you believe there is a shortage of hours on your paycheck, please contact your supervisor and he/she will notify the office.

The actual start time is specific, however in all situations it means:

  • all personnel will be at their designated area of work;

  • all personnel will have their personal tools with them and be ready to participate in stretches and safety practices; and

  • donning and doffing of required clothing (e.g., whites) will be done during paid work time.

For management and front office employees, the workweek begins at 12:00 a.m. Monday and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday.
